The dunes in Cornwall where I grew up were vast deserts and the scraggy woods behind my house were dense jungles - an imaginative and sensitive child, it was only natural I'd set course for the magical world of books and films.

They let me leave school eventually and I attended Falmouth School of Art & Design which served to strengthen my resolve to study film. At Plymouth College of Art & Design I wrote and directed a short film which won a national award and subsequent showings in commercial cinema.

From there I wrote and wrote and wrote and started to get a handle on how to entertain large audiences. Prizes followed and the pleasure derived from being involved in projects that both entertained and had a certain quality about them.

I currently live in Cardiff and love exploring the surrounding landscape on my go-anywhere Surly ECR bike.
